Some favorite rides in Ohio

2010 - Mohican State Park Loop - This would make a good fall colors ride through Mohican State park OH.  Goes to both the Landoll's Mohican Castle (really cool) and the Mohican Lodge.  Plus also goes to a gorge overlook.  Can download both GPS files in either garmin file format or GPX format.

2010 - Logan to Jim Bo's (Fall Colors)   - not ridden yet but looks good.

2010 - Hillsboro Loop (Fall colors) - 2010 Ohio VTX Fall Colors Ride.

664 - 56 Loop
Nice little 144 mile loop.  Takes you on 2 of the best roads in Ohio.  Rt 664 and Rt 56.  1st part of trip is rather straight.  But the rest after Rushville has some nice curves and great views.  Enjoy the trip.  And to make the trip longer, stay on 56 to 62 and take 62 to 71 North.  Skip 23 north. This will make the trip 160 miles  664-56 Extended loop

Wooster Ohio, ending in Johnstown Oh.

Start at Polaris & 71 N exit (exit 121).  Go east (right) on Polaris to St. Rt 3 (State St.).  Make a left and Head North.  Stay on St Rt 3 to US-30 just before Wooster. Go east on US-30 and take exit for south US-250.  Take US-250 south to St.Rt 83 south.  Take St. Rt. 83 south till it hits US-62 in Millersburg.  Take US-62 back to Columbus.

Nice Trip from Quaker Steak & Lube and back:

We did this on a poker run for "The deafs Kid Teen Club", April 17th , 2004.  Nice ride.  Don't have to follow it to the "T" which is with all routes.  But I would go up Rt. 257 or come back that way.  Ride it in either direction would be a good ride.  We did stop in Waldo to try one of those famous Baloney sandwiches.  I would recommend them.
Total trip 108 miles, eta 3 hours.    See Map here>>>    Diving Directions here (West to East)

Lancaster to Lancaster Loop - Southern Ohio (VTX Fall Colors Ride)
Here is another loop the Ohio VTX group has used for the fall colors ride.  This is a very good ride.  In fact we've used it a couple times. .

Velvet Ice-cream Utica OH
This 108 mile loop starts at Iron Pony Rt 3 in Westerville.  And the trip North on Rt.3 will be slow till you get North out of Westerville.  Nice scenery North.  This loop can be shortened by taking 13 south from Rt.3 straight into Utica.  Or extend it by going all the way North to Wooster OH.  Then take 83 South to 62 south back down to Utica.  Velvet Ice Cream Old Mill see web site : http://www.velveticecream.com/olde_mill.php

555 Loop :  Known as the triple nickel - lots of nice twisty's  This route is about 180 miles, time is about 4hr 18 minutes this includes a 20 minute break every 1hr.  So reducing the number breaks and lengh can change the time to do the trip.  Also this is at Legal speeds.   Note the Rd needs a lot of repairs last time I road it.
